Abstract. This article describes the formation of the Kazakh alphabet in the early twentieth century. It is widely analyzed that the restructuring of culture began simultaneously with the establishment of Soviet power. The main attention is focused on language development in the country. It is noted that the Kazakh intelligentsia made a great contribution to the creative work and accelerated the process of cultural construction.
