Аннотация. This article presents a theoretical and numerical simulation of the Darrier rotor, one of the most popular rotors for wind turbines with a vertical axis of rotation. Calculations of aerodynamic characteristics, including the effective area of the rotor, drag force, lifting force, torque and power are carried out. Analytical methods and numerical modeling in the SolidWorks environment were used to evaluate the operation of the rotor at various air flow parameters. An analysis of the deformation of the structure under critical loads was also performed, which made it possible to assess its stability and efficiency. The results obtained confirm the Darrier rotor’s ability to operate stably at high wind speeds and its high mechanical strength.
